Class Trip - Part two

We were blessed to be able to get some pics of the White House.
Andre was in a spunky mood that morning... he was being pretty silly.

This was ONE of the fabulous places we ate... Ben's Chilli Bowl.
This is one of Washingtons most famous establishments. Oprah had food from this restaurant flown into chicago for Bill Cosby, one of her special guests on her show. President Obama has even had his secret service clear an area for him to dine here. It was some good eating!

The amazing Washington Monument.
World War II Memorial-honors 16 million who served in the armed forces of the U.S. during World War II, the more than 400,000 who died, and the millions who supported the war effort from home.
The Lincoln Memorial - was patterned on a classic Greek temple. Inside, inscriptions from his Gettysburg Address and Second Inagural Address flank the 19 foot marble statue of our 16th President
Jefferson Memorial - a nineteen foot statue of the third president inscribed with passages from the Declaration of Independance and other famous writings.
And finally....
NEW YORK CITY

This is where the twin towers used to stand...

Views from our dinner cruise....

And miss Liberty herself.... Amazing..

Oh so fun! I loved my back east trip in High school! So cool y'all found Ben's Chili Bowl-it's not the secret it was 6 years ago when I lived in DC for the summer. I went there at least once a week while I was living there! Your pictures are great!!! Your kiddos are growing so fast! Hope all is well!
